LLDPE Beverage Tubing 3/8" OD Blue - John Guest 500 Foot Roll, Food-Grade

John Guest PE-12-EI-DF-B is a 500-foot roll of LLDPE blue beverage tubing with 3/8 inch outer diameter, the food-grade workhorse for water, soda syrup, RO systems, and ice-machine supply lines. LLDPE is preferred over PVC and standard polyethylene for beverage work because it stays flexible at low temperatures, holds dimensional tolerance for push-in fittings, and does not impart taste or odor to the line contents.

Why LLDPE Over Other Plastics

Standard polyethylene (PE) stiffens in cold lines and can crack on bend. PVC tubing is cheaper but leaches plasticizers into beverages over time and is not approved for many food applications. LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) maintains flexibility from cooler temperatures up through ambient, is NSF-51 certified for food contact, and resists kinking during install.

Compatibility

Designed for standard 3/8 inch push-in fittings: John Guest Speedfit, JG, and most generic compression and push-fit equivalents found in beverage and water-treatment systems. Confirm fitting OD spec before installing; some "3/8 inch" fittings are actually metric-sized. Blue coloring is the standard convention for cold water and beverage lines in commercial installations.
